Religion & Politics Shouldn't Mix

One thing I truly enjoy is research. Once in a while, my research unearths expert essays which help provide credibility to the topics and articles in this site.

One such essay is a discussion Ronald B. Flowers, the TCU (Texas Christian University) John F. Weatherly Professor of Religion Emeritus, which appeared in the Fall 2005 edition of the TCU  Magazine. The professor describes the relationship between religion and ethical leadership and responsible citizenship. He also shows that that the authors of Constitution did not intend for [the United States] to be Christian nation.

One thing I learned, when taking Criminal Law at Cal Western School of Law as part of my Accounting Masters classwork, was that to lawyers, every word of every sentence of every paragraph of every page is important. In this spirit, I have used multiple highlighter colors to draw out Dr. Flowers important themes.

Essay Citiation:

"Belief in the Constitution:  Religion and politics shouldn’t mix.

The principal characteristic of government is power, and power is easily abused."
