I have 30 years combined experience in the fields of risk management, internal control, and forensic accounting.

Note: forensic accounting is a specialty accounting service used during legal cases such as personal injury calculations, business valuations, divorces, dispute resolution 

I earned Bachelors of Science degrees in biology and accounting as well as a Masters of Science degree in accounting. My masters degree was self-directed with input from the college dean. My masters program included a fraud-related research project, Criminal Law at a law school, and a course which included a legal research component.

My work experience and education has trained me to perform detailed research; follow facts wherever they lead; and, amend theories as additional facts emerge. It is my goal to provide readers with as many facts as possible so that they can decide for themselves whether things that are said by politicians, news outlets, and others are based in fact or fallacy (what some like to call "alternative facts".

Politically, I'm an Independent. I lean left of center on cultural issues and right of center on financial issues. I have lived in both "blue" and "red" States. I have voted for both Democrats and Republicans. Had I been old enough to vote in 1980, I would have voted for John Anderson who ran as an Independent.
