Trump's Former Attorneys Facing Consequences ... April 2024
Giuliani, Eastman, Ellis, Bobb Indicted in Arizona—
Here Are All the Former President’s Lawyers Now Facing Consequences
Anyone who represents Trump needs 3 things: a thick skin for when for he disparages or blames you when a case goes against him; a large wallet in case he fails to pay; and, a willingness to be disbarred or censured if the case is frivolous, unethical or furthers an illegal plot.
The below article, dated April 25, 2024, describes what has happened to 12 attorneys who have represented Trump in various cases related to either the 2016 or 2020 Presidential election.

Giuliani Disbarred from the Practice of Law in New York
Rudolph W. Giuliani — the former mayor of New York, top federal prosecutor and a longtime ally of former President Donald J. Trump — has been disbarred from the practice of law, a New York State appellate court ruled on Tuesday.
The ruling punctuated the downfall of a disgraced lawyer who once portrayed himself as a crusader for law and order, challenged mob bosses and Wall Street operators and, after the Sept. 11 terror attacks, became, for many, a national hero.

Steve Bannon to report to prison Monday
after Supreme Court declines to give him a reprieve
The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a last-ditch bid by the longtime Donald Trump ally to stave off a four-month sentence for defying subpoenas from the Jan. 6 select committee three years ago.
The high court’s decision — a one-sentence denial without explanation — means the influential right-wing pod caster will head to prison on July 1, with his release date just days before the November 2024 election.
Bannon will become the second former Trump aide (Peter Navarro) to serve prison time for blowing off a subpoena from the House panel, established ... to investigate Trump’s bid to subvert the 2020 election and the pro-Trump riot that threatened Congress on Jan. 6, 2021.

Bankruptcy trustee plans to shut down Alex Jones' "Infowars"
A court-appointed bankruptcy trustee has indicated plans to sell off right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' "Infowars" media empire to pay some of the $1.5b (£1.18b) he owes to families of the Sandy Hook school shooting victims.
The conspiracy theorist and his company, Free Speech Systems, filed for bankruptcy in 2022 after Mr. Jones was ordered to pay the $1.5b in multiple defamation cases over false claims about the Sandy Hook shooting, in which 20 children and six adults were killed.
Trump Pardons Michael Flynn,
Who Pleaded Guilty to Lying About Russia Contact
President Trump has pardoned his first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, who spent years enmeshed in an often bizarre legal war with the government that sprang from the Russia investigation.
Flynn pleaded guilty in 2017 to lying to the FBI about his contacts with the Russian ambassador and then cooperated extensively with prosecutors. But he ultimately reversed course and accused the government of trying to frame him.

Hundreds of convictions, but a major mystery is still unsolved
3 years after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot
Members of far-right extremist groups. Former police officers. An Olympic gold medalist swimmer. And, active-duty U.S. Marines.
They are among the hundreds of people who have been convicted in the massive prosecution of the Jan 6, 2021, riot in the three years since the stunned nation watched the U.S. Capitol attack unfold on live TV.
Washington’s federal courthouse remains flooded with trials, guilty plea hearings and sentencings stemming from what has become the largest criminal investigation in American history. And the hunt for suspects is far from over.
“We cannot replace votes and deliberation with violence and intimidation,” Matthew Graves, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, told reporters on Thursday.

How Seditious Conspiracy Figures into the Jan. 6 Attack on the US Capitol
Seditious conspiracy is "the official name in federal law for sedition — the organized encouragement of rebellion or civil disorder against the authority of the state. The rarely used, Civil War-era statute invoked in the Jan. 6 cases requires prosecutors to prove a defendant conspired to use force to oppose US government authority or to prevent, hinder or delay the execution of any US law. "
"Treason is more serious [than seditious conspiracy], defined in the US Constitution as actively making war against the US or giving “aid and comfort” to its enemies"
"Six men convicted at trial of seditious conspiracy, and three more who pleaded guilty to the crime, are members of the Oath Keepers, which the Southern Poverty Law Center [SPLC] describes as a large, loosely organized anti-government militia involving many current and former law enforcement officials and military veterans." The leader of the Proud Boys, a Yale Law School graduate, was sentenced to 18 years in prison.
Additionally, "four men convicted of seditious conspiracy at a trial in May and one who had pleaded guilty in October are from the Proud Boys, a far-right neo-fascist organization". One of the Proud Boys was sentenced in August to 17 years in prison. Another received a 15-year term".
